Chaste Tree Berry

Originating from the Mediterranean, Vitex agnus-castus now thrives in moderate climates worldwide. Often known as the chaste tree, it derives its name from Greek mythology, which links the tree to purity and fidelity. For millennia, the Vitex berry has played a role in traditional European herbalism, especially for reproductive support. The dried fruit, also called chasteberry, can be prepared as an herbal tea, tincture, or crushed and sprinkled onto food to impart a peppery flavor.
